Here Tamil actor Swaminarayan shares all his experience since childhood, from his entry into movies till those films that he is currently acting , to his TV programmes and also about his wife and kids.

Vijay TV Lollluu Sabha Swaminarayan is so popular that there could hardly be any one who doesn't know him. Right from the inception of this popular show Lollluu Sabha he has always been there till it's end. Now he has become a full time Tamil actor.

We had met him and his family for an interview in his house...

Even while at school I had decided that acting was my life. So after my PUC I had decided to join the film institute.

In our family we had 9 siblings including me. I was the youngest and hence pet of
alll enjoying many privileges which others did not. I was pampered to the core. So to fulfill my dream my family sent me to Chennai from Kumbakonam. I had managed to stay here and there to get admission in the film institute . When I went for admission I was shocked...There were 1000 people waiting for admission . I became very nervous. I felt that it would be difficult for me to get a seat there. However I gathered confidence to face the selection committee. When my name was called , I walked in shivering .In the selection panel were seated yester year top Tamil heroine P Bhanumathi , Director Puttanna , Ramanna and Arasubabu.

I delivered the dialogues ofTamil actor Sivaji Ganesan.They asked me to do something original with out imitating any one. I did exactly what they said.They lauded my efforts and selected me for the role. Yesteryear Tamil actress Bhanumathi was my visiting professor in the institute..

This certificate course in acting paved the way for me to becoming a full fledged actor in Tamil. When I was 24 I first acted in the Tamil movie Naan Sivappu manithan which had super star Rajnikanth in the lead. My journey which began then 37 years ago still continues safely and smoothly non stop without any break. I have to thank God the almighty,

in Naan Sivappu Manithan Rajni played a teacher and I was a student. For the selection process they had asked all of us to come to Vadapalani office. As I had not a penny with me I had to walk all the way to Vadapalani. All those who had come for the test and audition were known to the film crew already. So they had all gone ahead relegating him to the last row from the first row where he was originally sitting . But all those who had gone before me for selection were rejected .My turn had to come at last .Tamil film director S.A Chandrasekhar asked me to deliver a dialogue. He was very impressed and selected me for the role.
Slowly I began to act in more and more movies.

Tamil Actor Naazar was my junior
Yes Tamil actor Naazar joined the institute after me. In fact Naazar had earlier completed another acting course in the Film Chamber. So I asked Nazzar now that he has already finished a course why is he attending another course. He said that there is plenty for him to learn. This attitude of Naazar is what I admire most in him. He is so passionate about acting .His nick name was Parrot nose during those days.He used to commute from Chengalpattu to Chennai daily. He was a hard worker yet a very jolly type..

After acting in a Rajni movie he was offered a hero role opposite yesteryear actor Menaka.He had turned down the offer for as a hero you are expected to give hits one after another and you cannot come down from the image of hero to do other roles. Moreover any film needs comedy so I decided to be a comedian . I have so far acted in more than 600 films.

Kumbakonam is my native. My brother and me were real movie buffs. When we return home after watching films my aunt used to open the door. Whoever enters the house first will get a knock on the head from her.Every day I only used to get the knock. But one day I pushed my brother ahead of me first. That day the knock seems to have been very severe and luckily I escaped.

Like the movie Boss endra Baskaran I am a PUC fail. It is said that one should not normally take shade under a banyan tree. I too have never taken shelter from any one during my 38 years in the Industry. Many like the acting of Santanam and me. We are thick friends and its growing by the day.

His son Anand who is studying in 9 th standard started speaking at this juncture

I am a die hard fan of Vijay .My father had seen him in the sets of Velayutham and told him about my liking for him .Vijay had invited him to his house.

Vijay will say Vanakkam to all and will fondly enquire about my well being. During the break it's gala time with Vijay - full of Anthaksharies and joke sessions.

Vijay told me that he liked my modulation and acting so much. He passed on his regards to my son and asked me to bring him home one day. My daughter is a fan of Ajith.

His daughter Aishwarya who is studying MCA likes Ajith and Vijay Antony so much. As her dad had acted with Vijay Antony in films like Naan, Salim, Thimiru piddichhavan. While she used to write exams, the invigilators while giving her the answer sheets would say Aishwarya you will pass like the scenes from her dad's movie.

His wife Shiela says she is lucky and happy to be his wife. When we go out his fans will like to have me also in the photo along with him. During his difficult times I worked as a teacher to make both ends meet.Now the kids are grown up and we have settled.

I don't know to drive two wheelers. After seeing Viswassam ..I felt sad that I could not take my daughter like that.
My son likes my plantain joke.
